Soccer Expert Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global hiatus, however will the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of guests.

For the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Family Life

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer team," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

West Ham's sole on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was still Forest manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

My son advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have got plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

However I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
