Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
